My Teaching Philosophy

Philosophy

       Obviously, not EVERY lesson can be a fun, funny, rap from the 90s, but my goal as a designer for learning aligns most with emphasizing THE HOOK: the more I can get students laughing and paying attention right from the starting gates, the more value that lesson will hold.  Student engagement is the linchpin for longterm understanding and inquiry based learning and sometimes that means stepping outside the box, performing, and becoming the sage-on-the-stage every once in a while.
