Things changed for me when I was going into my first year of university back in 2001. I was in a life threatening accident that took weeks in the hospital and left me without the use of my dominant arm for close to a year. With the counselling of my physiotherapist, who became a close friend and eventually my employer, I slowly but surely regained the use of my arm. I then started to wonder... "If I can regain what I've lost, could I become a better version of myself?" In many ways, one of the worst experiences of my life stoked a fire in me to learn and develop. I've passed that positive view onto others who've gone through challenging times and I feel it can be the fulcrum to change oneself for the better... it is merely a matter of perspective.
